What We’re Packing for Our Trip to Japan

As we plan for our trip to Japan, we wanted to bring you along for every step of the journey, and that includes packing! Picking what to bring and what to leave behind is an essential part of enjoying your vacation. Forgetting something important when you’re 10,000 kilometres from home is a bummer, so this packing list should help you (and us) get organized before going on the biggest trip yet!

We are heading to Japan in the summer, so we are making sure to bring light, breathable clothes and footwear. An important note is that cash is very important in Japan. Debit and credit cards are not accepted as ubiquitously as they are in North America, so its a good idea to have enough Yen to pay for everything you need, and your debit card to take more out if you need it. The good news for travelers is that the Japanese Yen is the weakest its been in 30 years so you will get more purchase power if you are converting from USD or CAD.
