Somewhere in Tuscany

The land of cypress trees, hidden hot springs and the best wine Italy has to offer.

Renting a car and driving to the Tuscan countryside is a must for any couple coming to Italy on their honeymoon. We recommend staying overnight in B&B having at least 3 days to explore this magnificent region.

Part of the magic of doing a roadtrip here is the frequency with which you can stumble on picturesque locations entirely by accident. So many gorgeous of the Cypress-tree lined roads and stone walled villas are just pull-offs on the side of the highway. And when you’ve captured all your perfect instagram moments, there’s always a winery or osteria or trattoria nearby that you can pop in for a glass of wine and a traditional italian meal.

Our recommendations for this region are focused around enjoying the little things in life - food, wine, and relaxation.

Where To Stay In Tuscany

The Luxury Pick

The Club House

This 5-star Tuscan villa nestled in the countryside has everything you need for the most picturesque, relaxing, and romantic stay. If you are looking for that once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon experience you won’t be disappointed booking this stay. It features a swimming pool, hot tub, sun terrace, tennis courts and more. We think it’s worth the price tag!

The Modest Pick

Antica Dimora, Monteroni d’Arbia

This old tuscan home is located in the cute village of Monteroni d’Arbia. With just a short drive outside of the village you’re fully immersed in the Tuscan countryside! The holiday apartment itself has an adorable backyard, classic Tuscan kitchen and decor, and optional breakfast addon. We think this is a great mid-budget option.

The Budget Pick

Sangallo Park Hotel

If you’re traveling on a budget, we’d recommending booking a stay in Siena as your home base. Sangallo Park hotel offers comfortable rooms, a free breakfast, and even a pool! And if you don’t have a car, there are busses that connect you to Siena’s old town and the train station (although we definitely feel a having a car is a must for exploring Tuscany properly!)

Where To Eat In Tuscany

A Nice Night Out

Ristorante Il Feudo

Open only on weekends, this Italian restaurant is located in the historic square of Monteriggioni. We loved coming here and exploring this oneof-a-kind medieval walled city after our meal.

Out To Lunch

Poggio Amorelli

Come here for the wine, stay here for the views. At this family-owned private winery, you’ll be dining with panoramic views of the countryside. Be sure to buy tickets in advance to gain entry to this exclusive winery.

On The Go

Bar Panini Porchetta Salumi Formaggio

This little side-of-the-road establishment is known for their fresh sandwiches. Grab one to go and keep exploring, or sit down and enjoy your meal at their outdoor patio.

Happy Hour

Antinori nel Chianti Classico

When wine and architecture meet, they look like this place. Book an experience at this otherworldy winery that resembles something out of a sci-fi novel.
